Awarded For Our Sustainable Values
We’re super proud to report that we won the Sustainable Values Award at this year’s Wales Food and Drink Awards.
We headed down to Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall, with five of our amazing team members, and spent a wonderful evening celebrating our industry’s amazing achievements across Wales. It’s a fitting testament to all the brilliant work our team does. We’re truly committed to our sustainability journey, and work tirelessly to reduce our environmental impact.
As well as maintaining zero landfill status since 2018, we also opened our own £1.8m solar farm, allowing us to generate 25% of our energy consumption from the sun. Bob Clark of Itch Investors, who chaired the judging panel, said: “I’d like to congratulate everyone who entered and in particular those who made it to the finals as the quality of the entries this year was amazing.”
It’s not our first award for sustainable credentials, though. Last year, Radnor was also selected as the first winner of a new Excellence in Sustainability Award, sponsored by the Welsh Government.
